Wet, moist, damp - three words to describe the Bazinga fans - and Rockhampton! We're on a Soft 7 for the seven of the best out of the Beef Capital this afternoon.
Race 1: Maiden Plate (1200m)
They should have just scrapped this race. Shocking.
Race 2: BM70 Hcp (1400m)
Hoping Awol just goes straight to the top and repeats what he did in his CQ debut for Nick Walsh. He failed in Brisbane last start in a strong race, but will find this a hell of a lot easier. I'll be AWOL if he goes under.
Race 3: BM65 Hcp (1600m)
What price does Namazu, Shamedy or Tiger Legend start here? SHORT! Class Of Royalty brings those formlines to a race like this which should go a long way towards winning. He has to carry weight, but he's six runs into a prep, gets to the mile and gets Lang on! Bang!
Race 4: BM60 Handicap (1050m)
Rumour has it, Jump Lead Win was invented for Fay Faye.
Race 5: 3YO Class 1 (1050m)
Justin Huxtable and Graeme Green have never teamed up for a loser. That's a 100% winners to runners strike rate across four rides! While I think that run will come to an end in Race 2, they can make it 5 from 6 when they team up on the hot favourite Desert Koby here. He should be straight to the front and hard to beat.
Race 6: Maiden (1500m)
There is very little value on this card. Isle Eight should be winning a race like this, and our old mate Ready To Groove might be the blow out. Staying out though.
Race 7: 0-55 Hcp (1400m)
JHux might be in for a decent afternoon if he can steer home Soften It Up in the last. He was a shock winner a few starts back here over the mile, before only just missing out on back-to-back wins. He absolutely pissed in at Gympie two back, and then ran into Bold Pedro last start at Mackay who has since won again. He'll be strong late.
