Well it’s a day of complete and utter madness, that is right folks its MEKKA Wednesday racing. We will be racing on a good 4 track with the rail out eight metres for the entire course and the first race to jump at 12.33pm.
Race 1: MAIDEN (1000M)
As we have done a fair bit lately the early maiden is just a watch race. Look for the pattern of the track but otherwise this is a no bet race for the mugs today.
Race 2: MAIDEN (1200M)
Orman is back in town and jumps on the favourite here but happy to play around it, this time going with a bit of Grafton form in Rum and Kirk for Mallyon and Dunn. Should have won last start and gets the extra trip here from a middle alley which will suit.
Race 3: MAIDEN (1200M)
Well Agadoo please Wiggo, just get clear air in the straight. I think its that simple for this horse. Has had a couple of absolutely luckless runs so will stick with again here and just pray that barrier ten, she avoids trouble and you can run on out wide on the track.
Race 4: Class 5 (1400M)
This might be short of his best but the Last Command was pretty good last preparation against some decent opposition. I am specking him here albeit at the $5 quote but just in a smaller field where I can see a few of these running along he may be able to get over them late. Too Many Thoughts the one to beat but also just cannot take that price.
Race 5: Class 1 (1840M)
Back the favourite here and bet with confidence. He comes to this race fourth up in this preparation, gets a big wide open track with two clear leaders in the race. Maloney jumps aboard who is a strong rider and should be able to pull out al the stops late for Barcelo and Waller here.
Race 6: Benchmark 68 (1200M)
Wow Fireforce is $26 here, last preparation I think we tipped him every start for a lot of seconds and clearly the markets has given up. This race is without any real speed influences, and for that reason Enforceable might just be able to lead them a merry dance in front. Osmond will take the claim and might just be too fit for them, with that nice Illegal Justice form, franked on the weekend in Townsville.
Race 7: Class 3 (1000M)
Biancelli, best form by a long way here, if she’s come to Brisbane ready to go its pretty simple she just wins.
Race 8: Class 6 (1000M)
This is an interesting race, favourite has come up odds on and while I understand it, not sure I can be anywhere near that price. Tiger Tie will fly fresh, I actually thought with track and distance form lines that Miss Personality at an each-way price was a much better bet here.
