Ipswich | September 2
A couple of winners in what is kind of off season still up here in Queensland prior to the summer Carnival later in the year. This week we are back on the motorway out to Ipswich where we will be racing on a soft 5 track with the rail out eight metres for the entire course and the first race to jump at 12.43pm.
Race 1: MAIDEN (1200M)
Not a race I am really keen to bet into here but Yotei was a really nice one from the back latest so with any improvement there and this rail position I can see him running on and over the top of these late if the pattern of the day allows.
Race 2: MAIDEN (1200M)
As for the girls the form lines clearly say Oregan Coast, was scratched last week for this, Ben Thompson and DVD combine for what should be a win first up this preparation.
Race 3: Benchmark 65 (1100M)
Another tough race with the two apprentices on the leading speed horses in the race, and if they go ballistic out in front then could set it up for one of the backmarkers. I am going to gamble however that Bella can read the race like her dad does the weather and if Olivia wants to bowl along she just simply takes a sit and saves Jimmyinthejungle for the final dash.
Race 4: Benchmark 65 (2000M)
Not real keen this race, back Wounder though for Emily Lang who loves Ipswich and building to this preparation for the Waller stable.
Race 5: Class 1 (1700M)
There are a couple of ways to play this but I think it’s a two bet race, back Tassorati because it will lead from the low draw, and then have another ticket on Cantarito who will absolutely eat up the 1700M here for the Waller team.
Race 6: Class 5 (1200M)
Gospel Girl should be winning this one with the Grinzinger Champ form but gee whiz she is very hard to trust. Not entirely sure who leads this race and it may leave Mishani Crown out in front on its lonesome.
Race 7: Class 2 (1350M)
If the form is franked in two races prior than El Centro does look a nice bet here. We did back Ready for Aimee latest here but barrier eleven in a big enough field she may end up posted early which is always telling late here at Ipswich.
Race 8: Class 2 (1350M)
Munce has one that’s coming up from Victoria, then Yabby Pump is doing the same from New South Whales, but I thought Metaphorically just gets a better run in transit than all of them. He comes off a nice trial while over Band Of Brothers, gets in well with the claim and well as we said prior Bella is flying.
