Back to Eagle Farm, the lawn has been mowed, the sun is shining and we have some quality back at the races! How good!

Stradbroke contenders Vega One + Master Jamie kick start their campaigns and the 2YO’s make their presence felt in hope they’re up to the mark for the Winter.

We kick off with the boys over 1000m and the Team Edmonds trained Debussy looks a smart one on debut. Trialled impressively but needs to take that next step under race day conditions. The O’dea/Hoysted yard look to be in for a big winter with what looks to be a smart bunch of 2YO’s. Premiership winning jockey Baylee Nothdurft makes his return to the big city with the steer on the second favourite Vantan Express. It’ll be a cracker.

Race 2 leaves just as much to the imagination with the filly’s version. Baylee could make it 2/2 with the in form Stellar Magic looking to go one better. Illiciate Affairs comes to town after an impressive win first up. With experience lacking with plenty of these runners, just cross every finger and ever toe on whatever you’ve launched into.

Chris Waller makes his presence felt in the 3rd, with the annual weekly CJ Waller invitational.

Unbiased pops up from the MugBook after a solid outing last start, Slow Hands was a total forgive after being ridden upside down, so gets a shot at redemption over the mile. Just remember there’s no such thing as team riding.

Chris Waller will then be on course to likely present himself with himself with the Chris Waller middle distance stayers Cup - 2200m BM78 conditions; how loud can you say Brisbane Racing. If that didn’t get you excited for this absolute shamble, Joymaker is back here ready to do Joymaker things. Be ready to hurt again.

It’s time for some serious racing; the listed Daybreak Lover Plate, won last year by Vanna Girl. This years rendition looks to boasts another horse onto bigger and better things; Apache Chase has been rock solid in early markets and Gotta Kiss is under that ‘last start’ cloud. Wolf Moon has done nothing wrong and looks to have the dream run here, it’ll certainly be a race we’ll be talking about for weeks to come.

We have a class 3, 1200m classic to knock everyone out of the quaddie here.

Gollan has 15, Heinrich has 12, I dunno, Darren Weir probably has a runner the field is that high and wide. We could make a case for all 18 runners and still miss.

In what will be the weakest Open Handicap you’ll ever see, you see Get Stuck In carrying the top weight of 59.5KG. It’s D Day for a lot of these horses or just a kick off point; it’ll be a messy race with plenty of speed, if they’re running on come that time of the day, it could be one for the likes of Love You Lucy or Fighting Teo. It’s that kind of race.

The Ascot Handicap sees the return of Vega One last seen finishing 4th in the Stradbroke Handicap and trialing super (watch it here) Master Jamie already has a start locked up and looks to impress first up and the rest of these runners are looking to steal a race like this to boost those rating points. Speed will be on, Master Jamie, Kylease + Le Palmier know no other way, it’s just a matter of much of that 60kg slows Vega One charging home later

Well if you’re alive by now in the quaddie, call the police because you’ve stolen this.

In a No Metro wins handicap, Four of these runners come here with a last start win, including the favorite Axe. Big field, big track, some runners will need BIG LUCK.
