Rail out 5m, horses coming 15m to win, it MUST be another Eagle Farm BENDER on the cards! Geeee Mugs, we've got some goodens coming back, Group 1 Racing returns next week and the Brisbane meets just keep getting HOTTER.
WATCH THE OUTTA LOCKDOWN EDITION OF: Making QLD Racing Great Again now on Youtube
Or You Mugs can LISTEN here on Soundcloud:
It'll be a Good 3, yes Good 3, no doubt about it. Rock hard, sandy tracks (sounds like a Pornhub search bar) which the smart punters will hold off to see how the track plays... But we AIN'T that, we are THE MUGS and it's BACK THE TRUCK UP TIME IN RACE 1.
Glorious Ruby makes her return to the track for the Killer, Leah Kilner! Who is that bloody red hot right now you could cook ya steak well done on her! O'Dea and Hoysted bring Secret Tales back to the races after her super impressive 18L demolition job during her 2YO prep, the 1000m first up is the questions for the camp as we heard from Matt Hoysted during the latest episode of MAKE QLD RACING GREAT AGAIN. Ruby returns with a record of 2 starts from 4 placings having gone down to Swift Witness and Sweet Dolly, not bad 'orses as they say.
Skipping to Race 4, we have a 1800m race, Handicap conditions, but No Chris Waller runners? Oh wait hang on, Matowi the MUGBOOKER is still here. Was a blinder of an effort 1st up then probably met a super strong edition last start, a race where Emerald Kingdom spanked them and Profit did what Profit does best, storm into third. The 5YO son of Dundeel opens in the red and should REEEEEALLLY put this field away, but again, who here has been burned by Profit on more than one occasion. Zigallene and Dissolution looks to set up a tempo for those in both camps at the top of the market!
Oh wait, it get's better. We get the PRIVLEDGE, no the HONOUR of witnessing the Sky Racing Benchmark 78 HCP over 2400m. Sky must've forked out huge dollars to claim the naming rights of this edition. Warp Speed is almost best of the day by default, not because he's been hosing them, but all the rest of this field knows what to do is get hosed! NEXT
Lady Banff, Dusty Tycoon, Scottish Mist and Jetski . I shit you not, they're the top 4 in the market, I seriously reckon someone streak anywhere at 2;27pm on Saturday so we have something entertaining to watch. Dusty to lead for the MiRunners owners? Drink every time you hear a 'END IT NOW" if you're trackside.

RACE 9 - 1400m CL6
The Return of Kubrick
Well I guess I wouldn't be complaining if we owned a horse that has $885K in the bank but let's take a trip down memory lane!
Debut - A solid win on a soft 7 and Cranbourne, went out at $6.50 for the Mugs, game on. He then made the trip up to Rosehill and beat a half handy field including Diamond Thunder and Hulk before the goal was clear, a group 1 assignment, The JJ Atkins over 1600m.
Now he popped up in 2nd place behind Prince Fawaz in what has probably turned out to be the worst formline in the history of Horse Racing, but that's ok, onwards and upwards.
Kubrick fans were full of hope when he finished a 3.5L 5th behind a few Saturday grade horses named Bivouac, Yes Yes Yes, Exceedence and Yao Dash in the Group 1 Golden Rose, he then backed it up 2 starts later winning the Bondi Stakes, worth $580,000.
SINCE THEN.
15: 0-2-1 It's fair to say, he's 'THAT' kind of horse. But hey, QLD is the place for career revival! Anyway, Lloydy's been drinking something because he's tipped him. Stuttering, Barney's Law and Dreamreacher all have pace and from the wide draw the favourite (Dreamreacher) could be in some early trouble. But who knows, with this track they could be wanting to be wide!
All in all, it's another exciting edition of Brisbane Racing - Here's our Best Bets
