I tell you what the Sunshine Coast residents are about to claim the metropolitan status us Brisbane folk call home after the last week. We are once again back at Corbould Park Queensland’s new home of racing. Only a short race card here with seven events on this midweek day of racing. We are running on a good 4 with the rail out three metres and the first race to jump at 1:38pm AEST.
Race 1: MAIDEN Plate (1200M)
Good Bean goes forward from the gate, kicks leads and wins, did everything but win last start gets it done here.
Race 2: MAIDEN Plate (1200M)
The fillies and mares don’t really get me jumping about and happy to leave this go here, onto a few later on in the card that we can gallop into.
Race 3: Class 5 Handicap (1200M)
Well simply put Rich Lister gets in super here against this lot. I know Renouf came out and won well last start but lets put that down to a glitch in the matrix, simply will not happen again. The key rival here is Dash for Dreams from the munce yard. Prior to last start was coming off three straight wins and will be hunting the lead the with Rich Lister. Weight in her favour, stable flying and should be winning.
Race 4: Maiden Plate (1400M)
Yep, quickly moving on here.
Race 5: Class 2 Handicap (1600M)
Interesting race this one but I am going with last start favourite in Hot Escort. Comes to this off some solid from around Honey Baby and Blackboots and a few runs prior was beating home Checkers who is flying at the moment. With Goldeel and Vitesse Francais leading them off and Hot Escort will get the drop on them this time. Second run this trip and wins here at a nice price.
Race 6: Class 1 Handicap (1400M)
Another race where I am pretty keen on one here in Snazz ‘n’ Charm. Come through race where he just went down to the Cullinan and prior to that in behind Zoukina and Befana and they have both been very good since. The outside draw in a small field suits and will be round them up late and be too good here.
Race 7: Benchmark 68 (1000M)
He Know’s and they know at the moment and yes this stable certainly knows. A really nice first up record here and with a solid prep last start any improvement from this four year old gelding he will go very close here. With the claim involved and the draw in behind the speed he will be stalking and should have the turn of foot to run straight past this lot.
