We've got just six races to get through at Rocky this arvo, but it looks a good card to back a few winners. It'll be a Good 4 track, and the rail goes out 8m the entire circumference. The first is underway at 1:27pm.

Race 1: BM55 (1100M)

Personally still in a coma after Rare And Reliable was beaten a bee's dick at the Sunny Coast on Boxing Day at 50s, but this looks a good chance to get what should have been mine. She kicked off this prep behind Vindicta who has since won in town, before a much-improved run second-up behind Humphree Bear at the Sunny Coast. The 3kg off helps, as does the drop in grade.

Race 2: Class 1 (1200M)

Ten Carat Lucy copped a 10/10 steer on debut to win, where she beat Moochi Starlight who looks very hard to beat later in the day. She pulled away the last little bit to win by 2L, so the step to 1200m should be no troubles. The small field suits, and from the one alley undr Huxtable, she should be too good for a fairly average bunch.

Race 3: BM70 (1500M)

Don't trust any of these, so more than happy to stay out.

Race 4: Maiden (1050M)

Was keen on Desarae Doll, but she's come out on race morning. Staying out now.

Race 5: Maiden (1400M)

Wanted to back Moochi Starlight coming off a good run in a fast race seven days ago, but the bookie boys didn't want to play the game and put her up too short for my liking. Trusty Bandit comes through a fast race over 1400m at Dalby last start, where he closed off strongly from the back. I'd anticipate that he settles a bit closer here from a better draw with an apprentice on, which should see him strongest late. Looks a two-horse race.

Race 6: 0-55 (1600M)

*Insert comments about slow horses here*. We've been given some howlers lately, especially in the Get Out Stakes which is never ideal. Jay Bee Ell found the travelator here to win his maiden two back then got home well seven days ago to run a place in this grade over 1400m. The mile should suit, and he maps better than most of his main rivals.
