Ipswich | November 26

Mugs, Mugs, the rains are here. We head to Ipswich for more of the mid-week magic and not only is it a shortened card, its also going to be a slop fest. We find ourselves on a heavy 9 track with the rail out seven metres for entire course and the first race to jump at 1.38pm.

Race 1: MAIDEN (2190M)

Making Eyes looks to be the one here from barrier two and I am taking on the odds on shot. Heavy track will leave a lot to be desired with almost no attempts on this kind of track. Will need a good ride here and hope the filly handles it.

Race 2: MAIDEN (1700M)

Well lets hope the best distance jockey in Queensland just get the hot pot home here. Nottington Prince looks the one, and gets conditions to suits and up in trip is a big tick here. Robbie will need to have him much closer in the run.

Race 3: MAIDEN (1700M)

Another maiden lottery how good. Laan should be the one here if you like that Tulong form line but all out in trip and then heavy deck appears the race anything could happen. AJ should be able to get it done but wary.

Race 4: Class 5 (1100M)

There are two here, back both Antonito if he can control it out in front will be almost impossible to catch and will relish the track conditions. The main bet here though is Speedy One. In behind Lonrho’s Queen who was ok at the Sunny Coast last weekend. He should be able to sit handy and seems to like any track conditions and Emily does like a front runner.

Race 5: Benchmark 70 (1700M)

Pretty simple here Zou Big Boy is the only one with any heavy track form and if the sun doesn’t roar all day prior to this race and the track remains heavy, then he will camp off the tempo and just be able to roll past the three leaders who have drawn the inside.

Race 6: Benchmark 65 (1350M)

The Ivy Dextress form is just too hard to go past here. Poster Girl is absolutely flying so even with the wide draw I think you can bet up here with confidence as the race seems to lack a bit of class outside of her.

Race 7: Class 1 (1200M)

Blitzum, jump lead and win, except does not like the heavy track. Brutal Glory had to come around the whole field last start, was not the place to be and now gets a much softer track, similar draw and steps out in trip which are all big ticks.
