Ipswich | July 24

Well its has been a crazy week in racing and fair to I think we will leave the debacle from Saturday alone, but in reality what it could mean is we could be come very good at punting at Ipswich, what an opportunity! We will be racing on a good 4 track and we have the rail in the true for the entire course and the first race to jump at 12.00 pm.

Race 1: MAIDEN (1350M)

Maidens and 1350M at Ipswich = save your money!

Race 2: MAIDEN (1200M)

Rinse and repeat from above.

Race 3: Benchmark 68 (1666M)

Small field but an open race none the less, we have landed on Raging Pole here. He has been good in two runs this preparation just missing last start. The horse likes Ipswich and if they got nuts in front he will come over the top late.

Race 4: Benchmark 70 (1100M)

Well the talk of the town is Mouette can salute here today but the new stable addition for Stuart Kendrick looks mighty hard to beat. Master Showman has city class form from Sydney and with Robusto winning on Saturday that further stamps his quality in a race like this.

Race 5: Benchmark 78 (1350M)

This race looks like a bit of a setup for the Bruce team. Patton is here first up and does run well over this trip fresh and then you have Denied who has been up in work since about 1950 and gets the claim with our girl Lang on board. If Denied is taken on early by My Pins I think the stable mate gets the job done here.

Race 6: Benchmark 65 (800M)

The Lucky Alien just does not run past 800M, so lead Jimmy, handle bars down!

Race 7: MAIDEN (1350M)

What a race this is, holy wow! Keen to play Fine and Rare with Chip in form, but this is a tough maiden that is for sure.

Race 8: Open Handicap (1350M)

This race is actually pretty good due to the cancellation of meetings last Saturday. I am keen to have two bets here, one is with the light weight and flying Caspernova who broke his maiden last start here and the other is Galway Hussler who has been around horses with solid winning form and is a nice bet at odds.

Race 9: Benchmark 78 (1666M)

Another impossible race to end the day with most of these due to run last Saturday as well. I like the form around Thesecondatportsea but thought first up is a risk so will tip Spray Gun off some solid wins over this trip at Toowoomba and save with the port.
