The lead up months to the Magic Millions we are back at Bundamba race track and fair to say it is a card that we could probably avoid, but we are mugs and hunt winners is what we do! We will be racing on what will be a soft 5 track with the rail in the true for the entire course and the first race to jump at 2.13pm.
Race 1: MAIDEN (800M)
Pretty impossible race with four first starters but Moet At Midnight with early toe and Barry Lockwood betting this should be pretty good.
Race 2: MAIDEN (800M)
I am not entirely sure how Secretly Better of a ten length thumping first up can start at $1.95 but Lucky Briz from barrier two should be on pace and will be right in this race and happy to take on the favourite here.
Race 3: Benchmark 58 (2150M)
Another easy race, NOT! Once again we are looking at a favourite here again with Bay Street who is yet to run at Ipswich but he will be handy in the run and has a win and three minor placings from eight attempts this track. Sammy Collett rides well at Ipswich so time to keep that strike rate up.
Race 4: Restricted 62 Handicap (1666M)
Well another great race, and once again the favourite Chayse ‘N’ Adam has two wins from two attempts at the track. It is her first go over this trip and was first up last start after a 100 day spell so she should be reaching peak fitness or improving at least. Happy to back her at the price.
Race 5: MAIDEN (1350M)
No thank you.
Race 6: Class 3 (1100M)
Nothing from me here. Catwalk Criminal was on top and I was keen to take the favourite Ring Of Steel on.
Race 7: Class 6 (1100M)
There's three here that I could entertain and we are going against the Bazinga from last start. Reliable Ruby has been good at Ipswich in the past and flies fresh and with form around Vodka Martini and Inasec, she will be really hard to beat.
