Ipswich Best Bets + Preview | September 10

We continue again this week at Royal Ipswich and its beginning to be a good omen for the bazinga at this track. The sun has been out all week with the hot days returning and we are back on a good 4 track to start the day with the rail out ten metres for entire course and the first race to jump at 1.18pm.

Race 1: MAIDEN (1350M)

Well Some Style should be winning a race like this that on paper looks impossible but taking a $1.65 from barrier twelve over the 1350M at Ipswich is not a recipe for success so happy to stay out here.

Race 2: MAIDEN (1200M)

Pretty tough race to assess with a lot of first starters coming together here. Armes comes to this off three tune up trials and from the middle alley with Maloney and Gollan combining that looks a horse that I am happy to be with around the $4 quote.

Race 3: MAIDEN (1710M)

Another fairly average affair here and Kurithea again is coming up pretty short in the market. I have been sticking with a bit of late but I thought the run last start of Perhaps Perhaps was better and peaking third up and out in trip for Declan Maher looks a nice price. She would probably prefer a bit of give in the ground but at the each-way odds in an open race leaning her way.

Race 4: Class 3 (1710M)

Wow aren’t we spoilt today two 1710M race, yippee. Rashford comes through Saturday class form race and Make A Call who beat him two starts ago was very good again on the weekend. Senior jockey steps on here, slightly improved draw and a smaller field will give him every chance to salute today for the Munce team.

Race 5: Class 3 (1200M)

We are back to the sprint races here and with all the pace drawn out I am looking for a horse camped on the inside that can trail a hot pace. I’m Zac flew home first up behind Mia Sorrento and Negotiations who have both been going very well. The hot tempo here suits and so does a good track. Angela Jones ticks and with weight off the back he will be flying home late.

Race 6: Class 1 (1350M)

Pretty simple I think this race. If Breezin’ ran straight last start at the Sunny Coast it would have won, barrier six and Maloney on to straighten her up, she will be winning here, and be breezing past the leaders late.

Race 7: Benchmark 68 (1350M)

I am again going to keep it pretty straight forward here, when Breezin’ wins the penultimate, then you just launch Ninjitzou, because from franked. Will sit off the pace, which with Russian Sub and Black Minto should be hot. Pop off the fence and go bang in what has been a great preparation thus far.
