Well Stradbroke season has well and truly begun after a huge weekend of racing and now the midweeks are at headquarters and seriously hotting up. We will be racing on a soft 6 track with the rail out eleven metres for entire course and the first race to jump at 12.23pm.

Race 1: MAIDEN (1000M)

With the form of Noel Callow at the moment I am giving Jaggery another chance here, at $7 from a nice draw and with the red hot jockey on he gets his chance here after some nice trials leading in.

Race 2: MAIDEN (1400M)

Happy to leave this one, and Starsonus alone.

Race 3: Benchmark 68 (2169M)

Well we backed Chillaxing for his first win then we jumped off and he galloped them into the ground and yes the price is short but he has drawn to sit just off the speed or take it up himself and the step out in trip should not be a problem at all.

Race 4: Benchmark 70 (1800M)

Yet another 1800M race with a few horses that are coming up from Sydney, happy to steer clear here.

Race 5: Benchmark 68 (1600M)

Boys Night Out was a good ting beaten last start but comes here with two wins from two attempts at the mile and from barrier three will be sitting off them with the other fancied runner Cho Oyu on the inside. He will be peaking third and wins here today.

Race 6: Class 4 (1400M)

Castillian is surely a good thing here today, Archer winner form around Lubrication, third up, peak fitness, just wins!

Race 7: Benchmark 68 (1000M)

We are siding with Invinovich here, an absolute 1000M specialist. With the claim from Vitler and the low draw he will be handy to the tempo but not in the speed battle up front. Any give in the track that may be there late in the day will assist.

Race 8: Class 1 (1400M)

Acapulco Girl was short and did salute but didn’t get many favours there having to barge through for a run late. Emily jumps on with the claim and draws inside. She should improve here second up in a race with a lack of quality.
