Well Sunshine Coast is behind us and for two us we are very happy about that. With all that said and done we return back to headquarters for an eight race card and it appears to well and truly be off season. We will be racing on a soft 6 track with the rail out ten metres for the entire course and the first race to jump at 12.33pm.

Race MAIDEN (1000M)

QTIS two year old maiden over the 1000M with the rail out ten metre is no deal here.

Race 2: MAIDEN (1200M)

Another really tough race here but we are being brave and running with Gollan, Maloney and of course the horse John Rambo. He was back third on the rail in the run with Simbu stalking the lead was always going to be hard to catch but John Rambo ran second and the gapped the rest. Happy to back here.

Race 3: MAIDEN (1200M)

A three year old maiden here and we were with Neoclassicism last start and after he missed the kick and then had to be pulled wide and around them it wasn’t the worst run in the world. The interest here is that Ben Thompson jumps off to ride another Heathcote runner in Better Be Nordy. This horse has form around Sha of Gomer, Helluva Barty and Big Sky Country and with the jockey switch we will be having a bet.

Race 4: Class 1 (1800M)

Well we have to stick with Enunciation here I think. James Orman jumps on for Kelly Schweida who is flying after two winners at Ipswich and a couple of placings on Saturday at the Sunshine Coast is a man in form. This is the fifth start for this horse this preparation and out to the 1800M for the second time get his chance on a track he has run well at in the past.

Race 5: Class 2 (1000M)

The ex-Sydney sider Shalaa’s Moment has been very good in three starts with two wins. She will jump lead and be very hard to catch here. We have the inform Jaden Lloyd on board and with a win on the soft deck prior to this start she will be hard to hold out.

Race 6: Benchmark 68 (1200M)

I got behind Thelwell last start and at the price it is a bit hard to jump back in but here we need to be going again. Last start he was third behind Emperor and prior was to that was only two lengths off Golden Boom. Back on a track with give in the ground and with three thirds at Eagle Farm and the claim from Cejay Graham he should be winning here.

Race 7: Class 4 (1200M)

Well we were on the right side of the Hatchet win last start but Black on Beauty looks a really good bet here. From barrier two this mare should be leading and will not need luck like last start. Angela Jones sticks and carrying absolute air on a soft track she will be very hard to beat.

Race 8: Benchmark 65 (1500M)

We finish the day and after all that rain yesterday we need some hot curry to warm us up and that leads us to Steinbrenner for the Currie yard. With Angela Jones claiming and its superior wet track form on a deteriorating track and a good first up run we want to be with the seven year old gelding here.
