Well after a bit of a reshuffle last week we are back on track and racing on a Wednesday again and get treated to a midweek at headquarters. We have good 4 track with the rail out nine and a half metres for the entire course and the first race to jump at 2.13pm.
Race 1: MAIDEN (1200M)
To Wish again looks a really nice bet here albeit at a short quote. Happy to have it on top with the low draw and long straight to get going she should be really hard to hold out.
Race 2: Benchmark 65 (1845M)
Pretty average race this, going to go with the Toowoomba horses in summer form here even though Semaphore Girl's form has been pretty average with the claim and the run two starts ago I think it is possible she can give some of a sight with the claim.
Race 3: MAIDEN (1400M)
Simply not keen to play this race, pretty unexposed form and while I am keen to play the Jungle runner again keen to steer clear and save our pennies for later.
Race 4: MAIDEN (1400M)
Another race here with a bit more exposed form. Sharp Dazzler has been out over further and perhaps needs even further but back to 1400M and if he can begin better then with a claim and the in form Cejay on board he should be able to tick the first win off the board.
Race 5: Benchmark 62 (1200M)
Pretty even race here but Enabler was in the worst part of the track last week and did all the donkey work leading up the horses from the back. He drops a few kilos here and from the low draw and second up her could be ready to peak here even though he prefers it with the sting out of the ground.
Race 6: Benchmark 65 (1400M)
I think this race is pretty straight forward, with Ocean Zar out in trip and down it he weights he should be charging home over the top of this lot with ease.
Race 7: Benchmark 68 (1000M)
Well what an end to the day, we have a runner! Sir Carter lines up here in a race of nine and it sure is an even affair. Sir Carter has drawn barrier five and should be able to camp behind what looks a really hot speed on paper. Happy to be with him the place but Orbalent is going to be might hard to get past.
