We head back to headquarters after another successful weekend filling our boots with the best bets. We will be racing on a Good 4 track with the rail out 1Om for the entire course. The first race is set to jump at 1:34pm AEST.
Race 1: MAIDEN (1200M)
Pretty easy no bet race here. Jimmy Orman does ride Ser Joh which was six lengths off Skirt the Law in a trial but not sure how much you could take out of that.
Race 2: Class 1 (1000M)
Another complete lottery here with four of the six runners' price between $2 and $4, save your pennies, Mugs!
Race 3: Benchmark 68 (2225M)
Pretty interesting race here with two from Ipswich in Kipling's Journey and Mighty Willie doing battle again but I think that Saturday form around Valley’s Sister is the one to follow here. She was less than a length off Ashgrove in that race and looked like she wanted a little further. She gets that here with the only query being - will she handle Eagle Farm?
Race 4: Benchmark 68 (1600M)
The obvious here is Merimee and I think with the Orman and Waller combination teaming up here that is the way to go. She was good last start running into the placings and will be fitter from that run, has drawn inside and with success third up should be too classy here.
Race 5: MAIDEN (1400M)
The top two in the market here have both joined new stables. with the red-hot favourite bringing some pretty nice results leading in. Happy to watch these two southerners take each other on and see who stands tall. My money is the ex-Hawkes runner for the Sears team.
Race 6: Benchmark 65 (1110M)
Nope, once again we find a race with a hotpot first up for Gollan and pretty mixed form for the rest of them, not much confidence steering you into one here.
Race 7: Benchmark 68 (1200M)
Pretty keen on the favourite here in Gwan So. He was really good last prep with form around Ghostwriter and Deficit who was airborne at the Gold Coast. While the first up record doesn’t scream success he was nominated for Saturday and comes here so perhaps they are thinking this is slightly easier. Angela takes two kilos off the big boy which should really help.
Race 8: Class 1 (1400M)
Just back Mista Omega here. Yes, he gets a bit of extra weight here but from barrier four with pace on the inside he is simply just going to get the absolute run of the race here. He should have won last start and has been super prior. With Ben Thompson on and form at the Farm, he will be filling our boots late in the day.
