Here we again, 9 handicap races to absolutely sit here on a Friday morning full of optimism before realising 5pm Saturday night that we've been hustled again! The good news? Darwin Cup runs at 5:10pm - Chips in.
2 weeks ago the rail was +1, 10 days ago the rail was out l2m, Saturday we're at the 3m. What is that grass doing? It's been cold here, it's been frosty, we highly doubt it's growing and/or repairing! We're expecting the winners to be coming wide. So does that mean barrier draws are null and void? who knows... WE KNOW (sorta, not really, mean yes). Let's get in to it shall we.
Or you can now WATCH us each and every week on our YouTube Channel, thanks to Sportsbet.com.au
There's one thing we have been able to rely on the last few months, TBA FORM and we get the Incentivise colours here in Race 1 with the equine beauty of Champagne Aunty. The 4YO daughter of Trusting looks to have returned super! With a strong finishing 2nd behind Dreamreacher first up. Vinasta maps to her inside and they look to be the early speed. With the great unknown (like every week) knowing how this track will play, we'd rather see horses in front early! AND HODLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL (And yes we saw Mountbatten is running, let's leave it at that ok)
The world was on London Banker last start and the Mugs like him again. In what will be his 3rd start at Eagle Farm this prep for 2 placings we'll oooooooooooooze confidence that he'll handle the track. Again, doesn't look like a lot of speed on paper but if you watch the last start replay of Nature Boy, you know he'll be there about. Seriously watch that Grafton replay of Nature Boy.
The MUGBOOKERS are up and about in Race 3, the worst part was we didn't expect the to line up against each other! WE WANTED MORAL MULTIS.
Mr Wong the flashing light late, Luna Mia looks tough, quinella them.

It's excitement factor in R4! A last chance QTIS cash grab for some of these 2YO's plus the return of Magic Millions Runner Up Alpine Edge. He is an absolute class animal and will be a thrill for apprentice Jaden Lloyd to ride the Lamborghini. BUT. We heard all last prep he'll relish the 1400-1600m, is Saturday purely a first up run? Jumbo Girl, You'll Be Mist and Princess Bojack are race fit. There doesn't look like a lot of speed in this field, from barrier 12 the Edge will ultimately have to go back and rely on the tempo that may not be there! Either way, huge FORM RACE.
There's a few dartboard jobs coming up so we'll wet our lips with the main event.

Race 8 - The James Squire OPEN Handicap
Matowi is your favourite, yes read that again,
Scallopini, Profit and Prometheus come through the Glasshouse HCP.
Emerald Kingdom comes back through the STRADBROKE HANDICAP.
AND MATOWI IS YOUR FAVOURITE! 0/5 second up, 0/2 at the track, 0/5 at the distance. Unless the horse starts training with TJ Gollan between now and Saturday it's a no from us, oh shit... A few of us are all over it... Oops
In what appears to be a tricky race, this could be a blowout. DIssolution and All Too Huiying to take up the running. Sea Raider and Emerald Kingdom to sit in the box seat before we witness and absolute sprint fest home! Good Luck MUGS
Get Out Stakes - No Gollan runners - not sure what to do with ourselves, Moz has gone back to the well with Bellissimi Amici - But Eloquently, Miami Fleiss form, which is almost Gollan in the last form! PLS SEND HALP
Should be another cracker of a day at the QLD HQ of Racing - See you there
THE MUGS QUADDIE
