You can listen to our FULL PREVIEW below:

With the Caloundra Cup week attracting some nominations last week, this week is the OFFICIAL start of the off-season for Brisbane Racing, which means the MUGS are going to fire up the MugBOOK again, hone in on our aNaLySisSiSeS and make some serious cash money bitches heading into the Spring Carnivals!

We're looking at a Good 3-4 surface, rail is at the 1+ which is pretty much the true at Eagle Farm. Our last meeting was a Wednesday here where the rail was out 10.5+ so we'd safely assume the inside 2-3 lanes is where you want to be!

We get the QTIS 2 year old's in Race 1 looking for a handy little pay day. Bobby Heathcote has 2 of the leading chances in Release The Beans and Crymenotears who have both showed early speed in their young careers. Princess Bojack and Allusionist know no other way and the Mugs predict this will be a real speed battle in the first. A wise punter would sit back and watch this train wreck take caurse, but we ain't wise, nor punters, we're Mugs and we'll be playing in the first of the day.

Race 2 we have the Shooting For Gold Class 6 plate. The 3YO gelding is looking for win number 6 from his 10th career start, Baylee to sit and steer and donate his riding fee to Mugs merchandise - lad.

We pull out the speed map for Races 3 & 4 that are total bullshit according to longtime Mug fan Wayne 'Kerr' Hawkes. Aviemore looks to lead for fun in Race 3 and if that rail is hot then she looks a really good thing for young gun apprentice KWT as he comes to the big smoke for the first time and mug oh mug he's got some good rides! He then saddles up Ef Troop in Race 4 for senor Gollan who starts a shortening favouiite, if you missed his trial you are an absolute clown. With the 3KG claim, he gets in with just 51KG! Can he cross to lead here though? With Spirit's Choice, All Too Huiying and Phantom Falcon it'll be hectic!

Gollan wins or Schweida wins or Waller wins or Lees wins something like that for the next few.

How GOOD is this get out stakes! Don't tell me your a QLD Racing fan if you've never backed any of the following horses:

  • Fisticuffs

  • Snow Valley

  • Ditmas

  • Plenty

  • Impasse

  • Sea Raider

  • The Sinner

AND that's not even making mention of the favourite Spending My Time! Fraddmeister saddles up the Paul Nolen trained galloper who's only troubled the scorers once from five attempts at Eagle Farm, but when you're a $6 pop in a field like this it's VALUE CITY

Good Luck Mugs, check out what we're on below
