With the racing heating up down south we do still have midweeks cards or racing to dissect up here. In preparation for a massive weekend of grand finals, group 1 racing and then a Sunday Underwood card as well it is time to build a bank and it starts today. We will be racing on a good 4 track with the rail out nine metres for the entire course with the first race is to jump at 13.08pm AEST.

Race 1: MAIDEN (1650M)

A pretty hard race to assess here Dutch Gold goes on top but there isn’t a stack quality about it. First up behind a pretty smart Blazen Boots and does get the right run here behind the speed of Nano Star. The price is poison but should be notching his first win here.

Race 2: Class 6 (1050M)

Well this race has three clear standouts and is actually a pretty good race for a six horse field. I have gone with Blackjack Boom on top with a superior first up record and comes to hand quickly particularly after two trials, winning the last one. It is simply Edmonds versus Gollan, pick your team mugs.

Race 3: Class 3 (1350M)

I am not keen this race, there are about 100 chances, if you must bet Goldschlager is ever consistent but is very hard have any confidence here.

Race 4: Three year old Handicap (1350M)

Well we will stick with the favourite here in Boom Court, comes this off a nice fresh win and Nippa’s Nightcap third in that race has come out and won subsequently at the Sunshine Coast so it franks that form. While second up runs can sometimes be flat on the first up victory and from the draw in a small field we will take the price here.

Race 5: Class 3 (1350M)

Danezel has been ordinary in his first couple this preparation but fourth up and over the same trip he will be at peak fitness. He loves this track and distance and with the rail out he gets a chance to run on. The form out of his last start is strong and Argyle Lane does look very smart.

Race 6: Benchmark 72 (2040M)

There is a short priced favourite here but if Danezel runs well in the previous then our money needs to be on Flybridge here over the 1650M. With the rail out nine metres and Alderman, Our Rebel and Magi Conqueror all going forward this will setup very nicely for Flybridge to you his burst of speed and overcome this lot.

Race 7: Benchmark 68 (1200M)

This is the classic benchmark battlers about half the field would not surprise if they won so cue in the rack for this one.

Race 8: Class 1 (1200M)

We will blast out in the last with a bit of value. Last week we liked Drammatica in the first and while he didn’t salute it was a nice run. Miss Tapestry beat him home last start and then was flat second up. Third up here and first time on good ground we could see sharp improvement. Gets the extra trip here and at $17 she is well worth a bet.
