Stradbroke run and won, and by a Queenslander too no less, which will continue tonight with State of Origin. We will be racing on a soft 7 track with the rain the last few days with the rail out nine metres for the entire course and the first race to jump at 12.32pm
Â
Race 1: MAIDEN (1200M)
Randy Orton might be winning the first but its simply a follow the money race with no exposed form on a soft track and the rail out nine metres.
Â
Race 2: MAIDEN (1200M)
Copy paste from race one, not steering anyone in here to unexposed two year olds late in the season, money is normally your best bet.
Â
Race 3: MAIDEN (1350M)
In race three it is kind of similar again but Canya Berich in behind Bollinger Miss and on the soft track after two trials leading in shows serious intent here and should be winning.
Â
Race 4: Benchmark 70 (1200M)
This race looks like there is a nice bet here. Nepravda comes here after three runs in with the last in behind Zoufani beaten less than a length. Has had success on the soft track and from barrier one can lead this field up and with the rail out be too hard to catch.
Â
Race 5: Benchmark 65 (1200M)
Moshulu Spirit will sit off the leader, won like a good thing last start, and with Ben Thompson on for the in form Bruce stable with give in the track can be winning well here.
Â
Race 6: Class 1 (1650M)
Graham Begg has one here over the mile in Bonus Season which ran ok in the Gold Coast Bracelet then has gone back to the trials and ran well, and with soft track form and the booking of buckets Moor he should go close for the southern stable.
Â
Race 7: Benchmark 70 (1650M)
Well we were keen this horse last week but rain spoiled the party, but the party is back on again this week. All Kinds of Folk was in behind both Express Payment and Cavalry Man last start and back on rain affected ground with Ben Thompson I think Todd Pollard salutes again here after having a nice winner in Midnight in Tokyo on Stradbroke Day.
Â
Race 8: Benchmark 65 (1350M)
Not real keen last race of the day, but think both Fort William and Billionair Baby can both run well with the weight relief off the back.
