Doomben | June 24

Its almost officially off season, well at least it is for the midweek racing. We will be racing on a soft 6 track with drying conditions the last few days with the rail out eleven metres for the entire course and the first race to jump at 12.33pm.

Race 1: MAIDEN (1110M)

Interesting race to start the day with a lack of unexposed form. Extreme Tast has been well backed however just thought Dominater has runs on the board up from Cantebury and the booking of the in form Ben Thompson gives a fair bit of confidence.

Race 2: MAIDEN (2070M)

Well this is a classic case of offseason racing if ever there was one. Good luck dabbling here, Clench is the overs building out to this trip nicely where as a few of the others have had a couple of goes and a yet to strike a blow, tough race.

Race 3: Class 3 (1110M)

This should just be Braveheart winning, there is pace drawn outside, gets the claim with Leah Martyn and with luck in running late from a kind alley should be winning, if he can’t, you will not see him tipped by the mugs again.

Race 4: Class 3 (1110M)

Quick back up here for Nepravda and I dare say that is because of how slowly that race last week was run. She gets in here similar weight again with eh claim and back in trip perhaps suits slightly better. She can lead if required but with other pace around I think a sit one back of the pace is the place to be. Odessa is a watch for the McEvoy team as it was too bad to be true last start the Sunshine Coast.

Race 5: MAIDEN (1350M)

Retirement or win for Crash the Party, and the odds suggest the same.

Race 6: Benchmark 70 (1350M)

Really tough race this one, there are a stack of these coming back off long lay offs and first up into preparations. For that reason Bollinger Miss for Munce and Maloney goes on top. She was okay latest when the widest runner in a slowly run race. Did peak late but happy to dabble there in an open race.

Race 7: Benchmark 65 (1660M)

Well we look the only speed in the race, we get the rail out eleven metres, and fingers crossed on pace is the place to be because it would be unreal for the Captain to give the mugs owners a winner before he hits the paddock. Up the Eagle, lets go Mugs!

Race 8: Class 1 (1350M)

Automne Tree just complete forgive last start, was a heavy 98 and they all came in at intervals. Leading into that race was SP under four dollars. Off that happy to bet again here, inside draw, will be tucked behind pace and with totally different conditions can get the drop on these late.
