What a week it has been in racing, the Cup week is behind us and with a couple of group ones left in Melbourne we look to the two year old racing season here with the Magic Millions coming around the corner. We will be racing on what will be a good 4 track with the rail out eight metres for the entire course and the first race to jump at 1.18pm.

Race 1: MAIDEN (1650M)

Keen on one here for the Neasham yard in Pretty Little Liar. She has good early speed to see off the tricky draw and with Octavio coming out and winning last week I am happy to trust the form there and with Bailey Wheeler back and claiming and keen to cash cheques she can be winning this.

Race 2: MAIDEN (1200M)

A few of these three year olds don’t like winning and there are a couple of first starters so happy to stay out of this race.

Race 3: MADIEN (1200M)

Pretty tough little race here. The favourite drawn wide is a slight query in my opinion so have sided with the Jonny Da Wolf from the pole draw. He will be doing no work in the run and coming off a trial and a first up run should have the fitness edge on this lot.

Race 4: Class 2 (1650M)

A class two here with a few fancies in the market but I am siding with Dark Chill. From barrier three Ben Thompson can be positive in the run and being 1/1 over this trip and form at Doomben previously he can be winning this race for DVD.

Race 5: MAIDEN (1110M)

Pretty simple back Drialle, and win!

Race 6: Benchmark 70 (1350M)

Cassrock does not win out of turn but with light weight on the back from a favourable draw she should be much closer in the run. From prior behind Devastating, Steady Ready and Liquor looks pretty good for a race like this.

Race 7: Class 1 (1200M)

The Lions’ Gate is not a known first up horse but was good first up this time in. John Rambo lines up here again but it cannot be trusted and with its SP profile should be winning a heck of a lot more. Martin Harley is flying in these midweek events and can get the mugs the cash here.

Race 8: Class 1 (1200M)

The final race of the day is a complete lottery so just get your tickets on for Group ones on Saturday.
