Doomben | June 5

How good is Group 1 racing but more importantly how good is a midweek Doomben meeting! We will be racing on a soft 5 track with we have the rail out seven metres for the entire course and the first race to jump at 12.33pm.

Race 1: MAIDEN (1350M)

Autumnmation, has been running well last preparation without winning and gets here with Orman on and a middle draw, with a lack of pace inside she should be sitting one out and one back and tick the maiden off here.

Race 2: MAIDEN (1350M)

Interesting race here with the short priced Bosustow who looked he just stopped last start and they pulled him. Prior to that run he was a few lengths of Linebacker and the way Neasham trains you just have to take it on trust. Low draw and Maloney on shows enough intent for me to be backing him in.

Race 3: Benchmark 68 (1350M)

Well Crytposhare got the chocolates for us last start and we aren’t about to jump off the cash train yet. Huxtable stays on and from a really nice draw he will get the drop on them and as long as he can hold out late for the final finishing burst he should be too strong late.

Race 4: Class 3 (1200M)

Lennic, jump, lead and win!

Race 5: Class 1 (1110M)

A couple of really nice horses that will that the race up. First Person for the Lees yard should be to sit behind the pace and may be last to strike. This will be a quick race and the horse sitting of them should be this Lees runner.

Race 6: Class 5 (1350M)

Sock’emsid came from off the pace two starts ago and then led them a merry dance and was tough at Toowoomba. From the wider alley he will have to go back in the run but as we have seen with the track perhaps being drawn slightly wider will not be a disadvantage.

Race 7: Class 3 (1200M)

Well finally lets hope Space Tracker does have a run. I was keen last weekend but the weather came and he was scratched. While he does draw poorly here, there does appear to be a lack of tempo inside of and with the in form KWT on and third up this preparation he can be winning here.

Race 8: Benchmark 68 (1350M)

Well it is two bets Bean to the end the day here. Drialle was one of ours and has gone to the country tracks and been very good and will sit on the pace. The knockout hope here however could be Iron Grace. She is down in the weights and loves the sting out, if they go bonkers out in front watch for her booming turn of foot late.
