Its Stradbroke Week, lets go!!! The GREATEST week in racing is this week with the best handicap race of the year and the form lines for the spring. We still have clear skies in Brisbane and a nice eight race card for today mid-week winter carnival racing. We will be racing on a good 4 track with the rail out nine metres for entire course and the first race to jump at 12.33pm.
Race 1: MAIDEN (1200M)
Happy to be against the favourite here in Lockyer but in terms of having a bet, also keen to pass, if you cannot help yourself though go with the inform Munce team, they are flying.
Race 2: MAIDEN (1200M)
Money suggest on debut Lucifer’s Way would be winning and there is no reason to think after last start it cannot salute today. Yes we gets odds on again, but a nice multi booster for Stradbroke futures players.
Race 3: MAIDEN (1200M)
No firm opinion here but Runaway Tycoon will go forward from the draw and with Cejay on and three lines runs leading in, he will be at peak fitness and may be able to steal this race out in front.
Race 4: MAIDEN (1350M)
Pretty tough race this, going with the last start synthetic winner in Mayne for the Archibald team and Cody Collis. He came through a nice race behind Impendor two starts ago, then won on the synthetic latest. Drops back slightly in trip but will go forward from the gate and the good track will really suit this galloper.
Race 5: Benchmark 68 (2060M)
Pretty keen here on Fire and Light who was super last week on a track where nothing made ground all day except for it and the winner Mazis. On the seven day back up here is a huge tick, draws low to do no early work and while I like the horse Jealous, its turning into a bit of a non-winner.
Race 6: Benchmark 75 (1650M)
Well third up is the time to put Poseidon Ruler on top and today happens to be that day. He is three from six third up, just missed last start rattling home and while this is his first go over this trip his pattern suggests the step out should suit.
Race 7: Benchmark 85 (1350M)
Well I think there are only two here and they are both top of the market in the favourite and Heman. I am siding with the short priced favourite in Tuff Tu Mus who can shoot across and control this from in front. If you are having a bet though just take the quinella.
Race 8: Class 1 (1350M)
In this class one going with the Toowoomba man in Michael Nolan and Worthy Enuff. Super run first up chasing them down late, and then last start behind Damien and Royal Chic is a form line that looks of high quality compared to this field. He will get back in the run but there appears a lot of pace on paper so he will get the chance to run on late.
