The weather has been wild this past week and come the weekend it might be a heavy 45 here in the Sunshine State but that won’t stop the mugs finding some Wednesday magic. We have soft 5 track and may have a little bit of rain around with the rail out nine and a half metres and the first race to jump at 2.13pm.
Race 1: MAIDEN (1200M)
Simply not keen to bet into this race.
Race 2: MAIDEN (1200M)
To Wish looks a really nice bet here albeit at a short quote. Dream Smart was very good Saturday just getting run down late and key rival here addition was beaten by Ser Joh who was subsequently beaten last Friday night.
Race 3: MAIDEN (1650M)
Another maiden here and keen to be with the favourite in Surreal I Am. He was really good last start held up at a key stage but was one of only two who chased down Vanquished and step out in trip and third up from a nice draw he will be really hard to hold out here.
Race 4: Benchmark 62 (1110M)
Fukubana well this horse should just be miles to good for these but the wide draw will mean he will need a good steer. The second behind Taormina at Rosehill reads really well for a race like this and Brodie Loy over the short trip should mean the weight has less of an impact.
Race 5: Benchmark 75 (1050M)
Ring of Steel has burnt me one to many times and so has Northern Express so I am happy to stay out of this race.
Race 6: Benchmark 62 (1650M)
In form stables are ones we stick with here at Mug HQ and the Schweida team just seems to get the job done particularly at these midweeks. Secretly Better gets Orman on and will have early toe and probably sit outside Serenade The Cat and while the favourite will be tucked in behind them if this bloke can get a couple of cheap sectionals he might be able to steal this at a backable price!
Race 7: Benchmark 62 (1350M)
Two words clearly describer mugs and muggets, crazy and brave, which makes this last race a pretty simple betting proposition. Freshened for this run and from barrier four with the claimer in Bailey Wheeler engaged the favourite Crazy Brave will be winning here.
