It's a big week of racing in Queensland, but there's no bigger race meeting than Thursday's nine-race program at Callaghan Park. We'll be racing on a Good 3 with the rail out 8m for the entire.

Race 1: 2YO Maiden Handicap (1050m)

It may as well be an 8-race card. No thank you.

Race 2: Open Handicap (1200m)

He's got to carry the grandstand, but Montenegro Man should have the class to do so. In seven starts at Rocky, he's been in the quinella five times, and I expect him to build on that record today. First-up, he only just missed at the Sunshine Coast when scraping paint along the inside, before going to Toowoomba to run in the King Of The Mountain consolation where he finished fourth behind Tiger Legend who has since won again. He should be too classy.

Race 3: 3YO Maiden Handicap (1200m)

Riff Rocket form has to be good form, right? Well, yes. Street God ran third behind the VRC Derby winner back in April last year at Geelong, and while their careers have gone separate ways, this bloke can join the winner's club. He's had two starts in CQ now for an 8th and a 2nd, both from wide alleys. He should settle closer from the low draw and give J P Stanley a winning double early on in the day.

Race 4: Class 1 Handicap (1050m)

This is a lowly old race, so I expect Wiggo & Vale to combine for victory aboard the lightly raced Hollywood Angel. The form she brings to a race like this is far superior to her rivals, and her recent trial was very good behind Doubting Eye who beat Street God subsequently. She should get a good run and be winning this.

Race 5: Benchmark 65 Handicap (1400m)

Tycoon Baby should win, Canny Be Better is due for a win and I wouldn't fall out of my seat if Lynric Lass spoiled the party.

Race 6: Benchmark 50 Handicap (1600m)

Roy's Road looked a moral on paper last start in maiden grade and he blew them away like $1.50 pops should. This is a bit tougher, but not too much harder that he can't make it back-to-back wins. The 1600m is bound to suit him and we get a more appealing price here.

Race 7: Class 3 Plate (1050m)

Fay Faye is just a put in, take out job here. She will make it four straight.

Race 8: Maiden Handicap (1050m)

One for the too-hard basket.

Race 9: Benchmark 55 Handicap (1200m)

It's not a day with a whole lot of value, but we might be able to blast out in the last on Playful Kiss who shook the maiden tag two back beating Roy's Road and then just missed at this track and trip last start when third. She drops 3.5kg for that effort after Brooke Johnston's claim, maps to get a nice run close to the speed and is racing well. Worth a speck.
