Ipswich | December 7

It is winning Wednesdays and we will be trying to find a few winners after a huge Mugs success yesterday with our girl Mystic Aroma taking home the cash at Ballina. We head out to Bundamba Racecourse where dreams are made for today’s racing. We get to load up on a seven-race midweek card and we will be racing on a Soft 5 track with the rail out 4m for the entire course. The first race is set to jump at 2:13pm AEST.

Race 1: Class 4 (1520M)

Basically even money the field here and with them all coming from all over the place it’s a sit and watch race. Valley Of Dreams was ultra-impressive last start holding off a smart one in Da Party Gal and should be winning here.

Race 2: Class 2 (1680M)

One for the thrill seekers. The $1.35 about Military Gambler suggests he will surely be winning his second start here. We're Mug Punters, but we aren't sick in the head.

Race 3: 0 - 58 (1680M)

This race is really open and basically impossible. We are going to have a dabble here though with the runner down from the mountain for the Geran yard. Mojo Baby draws the pole and will go forward from there and while she has been up a while in a wide-open race, she gets her chance here from the gate.

What's this? Only the GREATEST (and probably the only) Gateway Tipping Competition. Click the photo for more details!

Race 4: MAIDEN (1100M)

Sometimes it is as simple as backing the best jockey here and that appears to be Bullet Force being steered by James Orman. Comes to this off a nice trial win and first up from barrier one should be able to take this race up. Will be leading round the corner and if he gets a nice kick on the turn be mighty hard to hold out.

Race 5: MAIDEN (1100M)

Tough maiden here but there are a few nice types going around. I think Idoneus has been pretty good without winning and off a first up trial win can go close here. There looks to be a lot of pace drawn out with it and if she can get on the back of Data Patch should be able to cross and end up third one out ideally. She has the finishing speed to close this out and win at a nice price.

Race 6: MAIDEN (2170M)

This race screams of a slight upset with Eureka’s Victory and Ill Toro D’oro taking it up and I Prefer Minties stepping out to the 2170M after two prior runs should be fit third up and well placed by Gollan here. She will be camped off them and explode late over the top.

Race 7: Benchmark 58 (1100M)

We end the day and its going to be hot curry tonight for us. Atlantic Way is flying with two from two this prep with the last win being very impressive. There will be lots of pace here but siding with the inform last start flyer making the trip down the mountain.
