Well we hope you survived the cyclonic conditions around Queensland yesterday and because of that we will be racing on a Soft 6 back to Doomben today. We only have seven races today, the rail out six metres for the entire course with the first race is to jump at 1.38pm AEST.
Race 1: MAIDEN (1050M)
Pretty keen on Our Armistice here, deadest looked the winner last start at the Sunshine Coast and from that race Idoneus has since come out and won. From the draw should get all the favours and drops a couple of kilos on that last run, can be winning here.
Race 2: Class 4 (1640M)
There are a few decent types here that we mugs have certainly launched into here before. We are looking to side here with Bulloo, who comes through the race behind Deficit who came in behind Ashgrove, Head of State and Military Gambler. In the race following that she beat home He Is who just missed Ghostwriter last start so the form ties in there.
Race 3: Class 1 (1640M)
Not even remotely keen this race don’t think we have caught any of these horses before.
Race 4: MAIDEN (1640M)
Fair bit of hype about a few of these early on particularly Golden Honour, and with Orman on for Waller you would think that from barrier 2 it is the bet at $7 but there is not stacks of confidence in this one.
Race 5: Class 6 (1200M)
I am just going to stick with The Billionaire here, he is five wins from 21 starts with 6 seconds and its just an ultra-reliable horse. He gets a super draw here and even though he would prefer it drier he should be able to lead and if not force the other speed horses to do some serious work out in front.
Race 6: Benchmark 65 (1110M)
Well Groovin’ The Moo looked to get lucky first up beating home Nashira who has since come out and franked that form. While Baldassare does get a weight swing on The Moo he was on first up on that occasion and should get some fitness from that run and at the price presents great value.
Race 7: Benchmark 68 (1840M)
Well keep it simple here, King Kapa is the best form in Australia right now, so just back Preach and collect the 70% returns.
