Wow bloody wee, the humans of Ipswich are celebrating, it’s the third meeting at Royal Tipswich in 10 days! The pokies must be goin broke with all these TAB meets.

Rail is out to the 2.5m, things are a little dreary on the main strip (what’s new there) but we should be set for a Good 4 track.
Race 1 kicks off at 12:18pm and the crowd will be stumbling in fired up ready to go. The mugs hope the free shuttle bus is running 3 minutes late, because that’s the time I want to tune in to the day. A 2YO maiden over the 1350m, we’ll have a play in the second.
There’s a spruik then there’s this:
David Van’Ipswich’ is a pretty humble individual but the Mugs are 100% on the Coolaid with him. Excel In The Sun was disappointing first up; Fradd gets back on board but just think the placement of Orbisyn by DVD is generally pretty spot on as we think he could’ve easily contested Saturday grade races. 1200m should be ideal for the son of Rich Enuff.
Well if King Bobby rolls us in Race 2, we’ll take some back in Race 3. Another maiden, this time over the devils mile (1666m) and the mugs have found Wilson Won on top. Last start was chasing home Jabali Gold at Gatton who’s then franked that by winning a Saturday provincial! It’s a lot better form than a few of these other champs are coming to Ipswich with. The draw looks good enough, beautiful each way play.
Race 4 - it’s time to do as the locals do, roll up about 3 darts and suck em back whilst fillin up a slurpee from the 7/11 that you‘ve got no intentions of paying for. Brandwood the obvious here, is 2/2 on heavy tracks and that’s what we’re worried about; with a track presenting the chance to run on we’re happy to watch this one go around at the shorts.
Auron goes on top in Race 5 - a top jockey has been put on for the top trainer. If you’re quick, you can see the notes the Mugs made about the trial here. He was certainly asked for a final blow out to arrive here and break the maiden; should race on speed from barrier 3 and put this field away over the 1200m.
Another devils mile here and the tip is to move into the next race! Looks to be little to no speed in this race. So we can't see what will figure around the greyhound track.
A couple of handy horses stepping out here and with the top 3 in the market coming off a last start beaten favourite flops; it’s time for redemption. Let’s Cheer Again and Ashzaya look to be the speed, whereas The First of May and Clairvue Star are going to be the ones needing luck, especially at Ipswich where that just does not happen! The Mugs are waiting for Explosive Quality to go around again as we think she’s pretty smart, so reading into that formline we’re pretty confident to put Ashzaya on top.

The Get Out Stakes brings us to another we‘ve been waiting for. East Asia was super in her QLD debut for Rob ‘Can I grab ya’ Heath-coat, big miss there, but that's ok this won’t be. Centrefire has won impressively again, we think she can stalk the pace from barrier 3 and show a turn of foot that looks to motor down the 1350m. This is a solid little BM72 at Ipswich though; Grand Zou, Roasted and Rock Amore are some big watchers hitting the line as they progress into their preps.
